ART IN ACTION 2025 CICA MUSEUM - KOREA

Art in Action unfolded across two interconnected spaces. While the exhibition took place at the CICA Museum in South Korea, I participated in the Art in Action Conference in New York, where artists, curators, and creatives gathered to exchange ideas, processes, and perspectives. Being part of this conference was an honor for me, as it created a space not only to present work, but to engage in meaningful dialogue around contemporary creation.
The concurrent exhibition in Korea extended this conversation beyond physical presence. Through the installation of the works, the exhibition became a living archive of voices from different parts of the world, each piece carrying its own cultural weight, yet resonating within a shared thematic field. Painting, sculpture, photography, video, and installation coexisted as parallel languages, allowing the exhibition to feel fluid rather than fragmented.
What became especially clear through this dual structure was the strength of thematic relationships across cultures. Questions of memory, identity, technology, spirituality, ecology, and the body appeared repeatedly, transformed by each artist’s context and visual language. The dialogue between analog processes and digital experimentation echoed a broader reflection on where contemporary art stands today.
The multicultural nature of the group was not simply a curatorial feature, but a core force of the project. Different backgrounds, traditions, and sensibilities intersected, creating moments of tension, harmony, and expansion. Even without physical presence, the exchange remained active—proof that contemporary art operates beyond borders, sustained by collaboration, trust, and shared commitment.
Art in Action ultimately functioned as an open system: a project where art is understood not as a closed statement, but as an ongoing process of connection. Participating in the New York conference and being part of the concurrent exhibition at CICA Museum reinforced the value of collective creation and international dialogue as essential elements of my practice.
